Shivani began her career at PwC in 2013 specialising in UK
Corporate and International Tax. Shivani has a breadth of experience advising
large corporates and private businesses on cross border transactions, group
reorganisations, tax due diligence, tax planning, dispute resolutions with
HMRC, tax clearances, tax compliance and audit of tax matters across a number
of industries including oil and gas, retail, consumer and technology companies.
Whilst at PwC, Shivani spent a year in the FTSE100 &
Inbounds transfer pricing team helping clients agree APAs with HMRC, preparing
transfer pricing documentation and advising clients on the impact of the UK
CFC’s Group Financing Exemption rules constituting state aid in 2019.
In 2020 Shivani moved into Industry, helping one of Europe’s
largest fintech’s build out their in-house tax function, advise on the
corporate and employment tax implications of their growth plans and was
responsible for managing the tax affairs across 22 jurisdictions in the EMEA
and APAC regions.
In 2021, Shivani moved into the tax insurance
industry and has spent the last 3 years her time at two leading MGAs dealing
with W&I tax insurance matters and stand-alone tax risks prior to joining
Solertia in November 2024. Shivani has worked on hundreds of deals covering a
broad range of European, Asian and North and South American tax risks including
corporate tax, withholding tax, capital gains tax, VAT, stamp taxes and
employment tax
